Dan joined the business in 2019 as a transport manager and has played a key role in its growth, helping to expand the fleet to the 23 we operate today. He now serves as our Operations Director, leading a strong and capable team that ensures our day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Our core focus is the heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) sector, where we specialise in transporting customer equipment to a wide range of locations—no destination is ever an issue. Many of these projects require specialist lifting solutions, making detailed planning essential to ensure the right vehicles and equipment are deployed every time.
In addition to HVAC transport, we support a variety of other operations, including delivering new equipment to water treatment facilities, placing hot tubs into residential gardens, and lifting roof trusses onto new-build homes. These tasks demand the right fleet capabilities, and with lifting capacities of up to 1,000 kg at a 30-metre reach, we demonstrate our commitment to having the correct equipment for every job.

About our fleet
PPC operates a 21-strong fleet, comprising 18 rigid lorry loaders—each capable of towing a drag trailer—and three articulated tractor units. These are supported by a versatile range of trailers, including PSK flats, extendable flats up to 30 metres, extendable low loaders, and extendable wafer deck trailers for transporting taller loads.
Of the 18 lorry loaders, two are fitted with plant bodies, ensuring efficient and straightforward movement of machinery from site to site. We operate a four-year fleet replacement cycle, allowing us to maintain high industry standards while staying ahead of the competition with modern, reliable equipment.
Driver wellbeing is also a key priority at PPC. Given the long hours spent on the road, our newer vehicles—such as the Volvo FH Globetrotter units—are equipped to provide maximum comfort and safety. Features include 540hp engines, full air suspension, 360-degree live CCTV systems, as well as onboard amenities such as a fridge, freezer, TV, microwave, and i-Park Cool system, creating a more comfortable working environment.
Our lorry loader fleet includes leading brands such as Fassi, Palfinger, and HIAB. Capacities range from 62 tonne-metres to 92 tonne-metres, with all units offering a minimum reach of 16 metres. Notably, seven vehicles can extend up to 30 metres, making complex lifting operations—such as installing roof trusses or structural steelwork—efficient and straightforward.

Operating for PPC demands more than standard trunking experience. Drivers are expected to operate lorry loaders safely and professionally while delivering a high level of customer service.
Our drivers represent the business on site, so we place huge importance on professionalism, pride, and presentation. That’s one of the reasons we’ve been able to grow so successfully.
All 21 drivers are directly employed, and agency drivers are not used. The company invests heavily in its fleet and cab specifications, and drivers in turn take pride in maintaining their vehicles to a high standard.
In-house workshop
PPC has recently opened an in-house workshop, complete with an inspection pit and roller brake tester with a full-time technician. Bringing servicing and repairs in-house will provide greater operational control and flexibility.

PPC has held FORS Gold accreditation for the past six years, supporting its ability to secure work across London and beyond.
The company is also a member of the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers and the Road Haulage Association, using the latter’s tachograph analysis and terms of trade services.
